FEMYSO recognized the Council of Ukrainian Muslims as the "Organisation of the year"

The General Assembly of the Forum of European Muslim Youth and Student Organizations (FEMYSO) took a place in the capital of Finland on November 4-7.

The purpose of the meeting was to sum up the work of 2022, exchange experience and expand cooperation between member organisations.

FEMYSO is a huge network of Muslim youth in Europe that represents interests of young Muslims that includes 33 organisations from European countries.

Representatives of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims took part in the 26th General Assembly FEMYSO. 

According to Olha Bavazir - representative of the Council of Muslims in Ukraine, she spoke about the situation of Muslims in Ukraine during the war:

- I was invited to have a speech about the activities of the Council of Muslims in Ukraine in the current situation. During my speech, I emphasized that the activity of the Council did not stop even after the beginning of the war. In particular, I told that our mosques became shelters for refugees.

FEMYSO honored the work of Ukrainian Muslims with the award "Organisation of the Year". So, Participants showed respect to the Council of Ukrainian Muslims for its activities in the extremely difficult war conditions.
