Palestinian History as Part of Islamic History

Saturday morning in Kiev Islamic Cultural Centre took place a lecture for sisters, devoted to Palestinian issue, its history, as a Muslim holy land. In the course of the lecture they touched upon the most pressing question for today - intrusion of Israeli armies into Gaza. The action was organized by the female department of "Alraid".

As it was noticed by the lecturer in the opening address, the history of Palestinian state is an integral part of the history of Islam. Across its land walked a lot of Prophets mentioned in the Holy Quran (peace be upon them), the Prophet of all Prophets Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was transferred here in the night of the overnight journey. In the past the city of Jerusalem was the capital of the Islamic Khaliphat, its cultural, spiritual and educational centre.

"Now this land suffers an occupational mode, and the third Relic of Islam – the mosque Al-Aksa - is in the custody of invaders. Thus, there is a discrimination of Palestinian people. Just some days ago we became witnesses of acknowledgement of this fact in Gaza", concluded the lecturer.

To learn about the history of the past and the present came about 50 women. Sisters, listening to the lecture, could visually imagine current situation in the Sector, considering the exhibition of photos devoted to the tragedy not only of the Islamic world, but also of all mankind.
