New Ambassador of Indonesia Receives Visitors

The 7^th of April, Kiev. – Representatives of "Alraid" and the Islamic Cultural Centre paid friendly visit to the embassy of the Republic of Indonesia.

In the building of the embassy the visitors were met by the plenipotentiary ambassador of Republic Indonesia in Ukraine — Madam Nining Suningsih Rohadiat, who recently got accreditation. Delegation of "Аlraid" was headed by the chairman of the Association Ismail Kady. The meeting passed in warm and friendly atmosphere, in the spirit of Islamic tradition of hospitality and adjustment of communications between Muslims of different nationalities.

Ismail Kady acquainted Madam Nining Suningsih Rohadiat with activities of the Association and realized by it cultural, educational and charitable projects for the good of Muslims of Ukraine, what deserved flatter responses of the ambassador and a wish of further prosperity of "Alraid". The ambassador wished to visit the Islamic Cultural Centre in the near future to get familiar with the Association's activity personally.

In his turn, Sheikh Imad Abu Al-Rub, the Imam of the Islamic Cultural Centre, congratulated the new ambassador and wished her successes in maintenance of diplomatic relations between Ukraine and Indonesia for the good of Islamic Ummah. Sheikh Imad told about importance of informing the Ukrainian society about moderate Islam without distortions and stereotypes. After all, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was sent for all people, therefore Islam really can be considered as a blessing for the worlds.

The ambassador completely supported Sheikh Imad, having emphasized the importance of the dialogue between Muslims and representatives of other religions, as a result of which more people will learn that Islam is a religion of peace.

The dialogue of the ambassador with the head of the Female Muslim Organization "Маryam" Olga Fryndak was especially warm. Muslim women at once found common language; after all, it is known that the bonds of sisterhood are very developed between believers. It was interesting to Madam Nining Suningsih Rohadiat to learn about the way of life of the Ukrainian Muslims and their families.

The ambassador was pleasantly surprised to learn about the vigorous activity of Muslims in Ukraine. Madam Nining Suningsih Rohadiat noted how it is important to give to Muslim women possibility to get education and to realize the abilities: in the future it will play a key role in strengthening and education of a highly moral Muslim society.

The Indonesian ambassador inquired about the future prospects of the Female Muslim Organization "Мaryam", in particular about the forthcoming actions, having added that she would like to take part in them and to get acquainted with the Ukrainian Muslims closer.
