The Council of Ukrainian Muslims condemns strikes on civilian objects in Gaza

The Council of Ukrainian Muslims strongly condemns another war crime committed in the Gaza Strip.  Attacks on hospitals, educational institutions, and civil infrastructure facilities cannot be justified in any way.  Medical facilities and medical personnel are protected by international law and cannot be attacked under any circumstances.

 Muslims of Ukraine are shocked by reports of hundreds of dead civilians at Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital in the Gaza Strip.  As a result of several days of airstrikes, the situation in the Strip is already close to a humanitarian disaster, and similar acts worsen it even more.

 The Council of Ukrainian Muslims calls on the international community to join forces to definitely defend the lives of civilians and follow the international humanitarian law.  It is important to seek a cease-fire and the opening of a humanitarian corridor to the blockaded Gaza Strip to protect the civilian population and provide them with the most basic necessities.

 We mourn all the innocent people who died or were injured in this barbaric attack.  We ask the Almighty for healing for all the wounded and victims and mercy for the dead.
