The Council of Ukrainian Muslims handed over 250 kg of canned stew to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation, the Council of Ukrainian Muslims has regularly provided assistance to servicemen of the Armed Forces, emigrants, low-income families, etc.

According to Ismail Kady, director of the Islamic Cultural Center of Kyiv, Council activists joined volunteer work and support of soldiers defending our Motherland:

“In the Quran, Almighty Allah called us to support each other in piety and in fear of Allah. Therefore, we came up with the idea of providing the soldiers with halal canned stew, because there are many Muslims among the military personnel.”

Imams-chaplains of the Ukrainian Muslims' Military Chaplaincy helped organize this project of the Council of Muslims.

“We handed over 250 kg of canned stewed meat to Murad (Sergey) Putilin, the head of the Department of Military Chaplaincy. Our chaplains are regularly on the front lines and some of this meat has already been taken to the Muslim fighters”, said Sheikh Ismail.

The director of the capital Islamic Cultural Center assured that the activists of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims will continue their work:

“Over the past 9 months, with the support of local and international organizations, we have helped hundreds of displaced people and low-income families.”
