Denys Shmyhal sent congratulations to the Council of Ukrainian Muslims on the occasion of the Ramadan

The Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal sent a congratulatory letter on the occasion of the beginning of the Holy Ramadan to the President of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims Seyran Aryfov.

In the letter, the photocopy which Seyran Aryfov made public, contains a greeting on behalf of government of Ukraine, emphasizes the contribution of Ukrainian followers of Islam in defense against enemy invasion and the struggle on the information and humanitarian fronts, and expresses a wish for the soonest establishment of peace and wellbeing in our country.

“On behalf of the Government of Ukraine and on my own, I congratulate you and all Muslims of Ukraine on the beginning of the Holy month Ramadan”, wrote Denys Shmyhal.

The Prime Minister emphasizes that the holy month is a time of prayers and fasting, a time of doing good deeds and supporting others, a time of incredible obedience and spiritual fortitude:

“I know that a large number of Ukrainian Muslims, even in these holy days for every believer with weapons in their hands will defend our country, holding the insidious invasion of a soulless enemy. They will actively struggle on the information and humanitarian fronts. They will create new volunteer groups in mosques and cultural centers to support all those in need and to help in hospitals.”

The head of government is convinced that the Muslim's position is the key to victory over the enemy:

“I believe that such a sacrificial position on the eve and during the holy month of Ramadan will become the spiritual guarantee of our future universal victory over the enemy. I wish the soonest establishment of peace and wellbeing in our country!”

Sheikh Seyran Aryfov thanked the Prime minister and all the Government for their greeting:

“I express my gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Government of Ukraine on behalf of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims and all Muslims who are currently defending our state, fighting on the information front and volunteering. We pray to the Almighty that this Ramadan will bring peace to our land!”

The President of Ukraine also congratulated Muslims with the beginning of the holy month, emphasizing in his address that in Ramadan, in addition to all his virtues in our country, the loyalty of Ukrainian Muslims is now added to their comrades and their people.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba also congratulated Ukrainian followers of Islam and Muslims of the world.
