EId al-Fitr comes on July 28, “Alraid”’s congratulations to Ukrainian Muslims

The “Alraid” Association joins the Religious Administration of Muslims of Ukraine (RAMU) “Ummah” and the Religious Administration of Muslims of Crimea (RAMC), guided by the recommendation of the European Council on Fatwas and Research, which fixed July 28 in this year as the day of festival devoted to the end of Holy Month Ramadan, Id Al-Fitr (Uraza-Bayram). 

 

Appearance of the young moon signifies the end of the Holy Month of Ramadan and the beginning of the fast breaking festival, Uraza-Bayram (Turkish) or Eid Al-Fitr (Arabic), which ends the month of fasting. The festival in this year, which begins on the 1st day of the moon month Shawwal, falls on July 28, according to astronomic calculations.  

 

The festival prayer was performed at all the mosques of the RAMU “Ummah” and the mosques at Islamic cultural centers across Ukraine in the morning of Ju;y 28.
