“Emel”: the next All-Crimean contest of Koran readers will have more robust evaluation criteria and the increased fund for prize-winners

The fifth All-Crimean contest of Koran readers sponsored by the Public Organization “Emel” finished on March 16, 2013. In fact, it was preparation for the next contest expected in autumn this year, with more robust selection criteria and the increased prize-winners fund.

Last Saturday twenty five persons from various areas of the Crimean peninsula put to test their competencies at the three contest levels:1 level — surah “The Event, The Inevitable” (surah 56), 2 level — surah “The  Sovereignty, Control” (surah 67), and 3 level — surah “He Frowned” (surah 80).

Young ladies showed more zeal this time than others, winning the two top places. The first place was taken by Arzy Arifova awarded 1000 GRN and a smartphone; the second place was taken by Zarema Iliyasova awarded 800 GRN and a smartphone, the third place was taken by Mr.Enver Bekirov awarded 600 GRN and a smartphone. He was the best at reciting the surah “He Frowned”. (Note: 1 USD = 8.15 GRN)
