On October, 9th, 2011, within the precincts of the Islamic Simferopol Cultural Center took place the next competition "Intellectual game of N.Chelebidzhihan" which has the informal name "The Crimean-Tatar brain-ring". This time the teams of youth organizations "Emel"" and "Yashlar Shurasy" competed.

Following the results of the meeting, the team "Emel" won with the account 12:7. "Competition of captains" became the turning-point in the game. Thanks to inventiveness of their captain, Ibraim Umerov, the team "Emel" could step forward. This meeting defined the team which will participate in a quarterfinal.

Let us remind that "Intellectual game of N.Chelebidzhihan" (the Crimean-Tatar brain-ring) passes for several years. In the last season the team of the social organization "Qardashlyq" became the finalist.

Distinctive feature of this game is the purpose of its carrying out, defining the subjects of questions. The participants compete on the Crimean-Tatar language in knowledge of Islam, and also history, culture and traditions of the Crimean peninsula.

"We were guided by the wish not only to define the level of knowledge of our youth, but also to motivate them to learn and to be interested in more aspects of history and development of the people, — one of the organizers, Muslim Dervishev, shares. We will also involve spectators in our games to expand the sphere of intellectual influence of games".

Idea of the game

The idea of carrying out of similar intellectual games belongs to the group of initiative young Crimean Tatars which got acquainted on a web-site of the Crimean-Tatar youth. They started their work with the organization of the national evenings devoted to the culture, traditions, customs of the Crimean Tatars, informative trips to the historical places of Crimea and other activity in this direction.

Except interesting questions, new knowledge and acquaintances, participants and visitors of brain-rings have possibility to receive valuable prizes: books, ceramic decorative plates, traditional male and female headdresses, and also other elements of traditional life of the Crimean Tatars.

For the visitors and participants there is a prescribed dress-code: a Crimean-Tatar national element in clothes. However, it is not obligatory, rather, just very desirable, that gives the chance to the people who do not have in their clothes elements of a national suit, and also to casual visitors of the action to join cultural-public life of the Crimean-Tatar people.

Probably, they will become interested and become constant visitors of similar actions, having joined to the number observing a dress-code. There is also an additional motivation: for the best suit in national style a gift is provided.
