Feast in our Street

The beginning of a festive prayer in the morning of Thursday marked the termination of the Holy Month of Ramadan and approach of Eid-Al-Fitr. Thousands of Muslims all around
Ukraine gathered in Islamic cultural centers and mosques of
Crimea and Donbass to celebrate this solemn event.

Celebration in
Kiev

Kiev Muslims started to gather in the mosque of the centre long before the beginning of a solemn prayer. Already after Al-Fajr throughout the premise of the centre sounded voices eulogizing the Name of the Almighty: Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar, la ilaha illa Allah – such words should be said prior to the beginning of a festive prayer. At 8am the mosque was already completely filled, and new visitors of the centre were placed on the carpets spread in the street.

After the end of the festive sermon led by the Imam of the Kiev ICC, Sheikh Imad Abu Al-Rub, words of congratulation followed from the chairman of the AUASO "Alraid" Ismail Kadi and the chairman of the RAMU "Ummah" Igor Karpishen.

Children's pleasure

Especially for the holiday organizers decided to present to children moments of pleasure and happiness. For them there were organized trampoline and quads. At once after the official part of celebration tens of small visitors of the centre surrounded inflatable hills, each of whom wished to be the first to feel the descent height.

Brotherly greetings and congratulation words

Traditionally, in the holiday Muslims congratulate each other, expressing their fraternal affection by warm and sincere words. "Congratulations", "May Allah accept from you and us", smiling faces said greeting words to each passer by.

Parting time

For Imams from "Al-Azhar" the second day of the holiday became the last day of their stay in
Ukraine. "The time to leave approached, but we will look forward to meet you", the chairman of the Association Ismail Kadi expressed desire to meet Sheikhs who performed Tarawih prayers, conducted lessons, taught and simply gave necessary manuals to the interested person throughout the whole Ramadan. In his interview to one of the leading Ukrainian television channels which were present in the holiday, Sheikh Khalid, having shared his impressions, stated that he spent unforgettable Ramadan in
Ukraine.

In his turn employees of the centre express warm gratitude to the Imams Abdelgadi Al-Hifnawvi, Gawwari Muhammad, Khalid Abdelnaim Abdel Ssalam for their participation in actions of the centers in the month of Ramadan and wish them further well-being in all their undertakings.
