Spiritually-Moral Education of Youth - Topic of All-Ukraine Scientifically-Practical Conference

The Islamic Cultural Centre of
Simferopol became a place of carrying out of the All-Ukraine scientifically-practical conference "Spiritually-moral education of youth: pressing questions of theory and practice", which took place on February, 24th, current year.

Co-organizers of the action were the Ministry of Education and Science of the AR of Crimea, the Ministry of Affairs of Youth, Family and Gender Policy of the АRC, the Taurian National University of V.I.Vernadsky and the All-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations "Аlraid".

Representatives of political and scientific elite of
Crimea, the deans of educational institutions, the heads of chairs, doctors and professors, known sociologists and representatives of social organizations became participants of the conference.

Opening the conference, the Minister of Affairs of Affairs of Youth, Family and Gender Policy of the АRC Tatyana Semenovna Yezhova described in general traits the problem of moral-ethical education of youth and beginning of the global spiritual crisis. Passing directly to the meeting, she thanked the Association "Аlraid" for assistance in versatile development of the Ukrainian society.

In his turn, the chairman of the AUASO "Alraid" Ismail Kadi emphasized the importance of carrying out of similar meetings in adjustment of strong mutual relations between representatives of different religious associations and the state structures, in particular, if it is the issue of education of children and youth.

In his word he mentioned the Prophet Mohammed (peace and blessings be upon him), sent for the purpose of improvement of morals for all mankind, not just separate people or ethnos.

On the end of the introductory part of the action, the place on the tribune was given to lecturers, who shared their vision of the decision of the problem which they face.

The report of the Mufti of the SMMU "Ummah" Said Ismagilov "Islam and spiritually-moral education of youth" concerned formation of Muslim traditions in youth and society education as a whole. Using Islamic sources, Ismagilov allocated four basic Muslim institutes: family, society, mosque and educational institution, each of them in the past played its role in education of a person.

Seyran Arifov, the expert of the Islamic right, devoted his performance to the issues of spiritually-moral education in a Muslim family.

He noticed that spirituality originates from the divine source and should not be learnt only by scientific methods and ways. "For spirituality increase, it is necessary to clear one's heart of various defects, and then to start from education of moral qualities, being based on faith in Allah the Almighty and the Day of Judgment".

As he said, in modern programs on youth education, experts give an important role to health of a person and his physical condition, thus forgetting about spiritual education, as a basis for formation of the high-grade person.

Summarizing the conference, its participants came to the general understanding of necessity of spiritually-moral education of youth, as a major problem without successful decision of which is impossible development of the Ukrainian society. In this connection, the present expressed high concern in the current state of spiritually-moral education in our country.

As in the society ripened the necessity of restoration of practice of spiritually-moral education of children for educational institutions, there was a requirement of familiarizing of students with spiritual and moral values, including religious traditions and culture, not contradicting principles of a state policy in the sphere of education and to overall aims of education of children in educational institutions.

Participants of the conference unanimously emphasized "importance of spiritual, moral and humanitarian education as joint problem of the state and religious associations that will allow to anticipate not only religious conflicts, but also to overcome other forms of social illness".

Following the results of the conference is presupposed edition of the collection of scientific works.
