The Council of Ukrainian Muslims with the support of the American charity foundation "Bayt al-Mal" organized a campaign of food aid to the in-need in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro.
In two cities, CMU activists distributed 80 food kits to those most in need of material support during the difficult times of the war. According to the President of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims Seyran Aryfov, these actions are a continuation of the traditional direction of the organization:
- We have been holding campaigns for several years to distribute the most necessary products to the less affluent sections of the population. We did this before the pandemic, during the pandemic, and of course we did not stop this work after the start of a full-scale war.
According to the coordinator of the campaign, Hamza Issa, over the last two months the humanitarian situation, especially in the frontline regions, has become much more complicated. There are difficulties with the supply of products, prices have risen sharply, so many people are not able to buy even the most necessary:
- We, the representatives of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims, are very glad that there are such organizations as this charity foundation "Bayt al-Mal" from the United States, which do not stay aside and help Ukrainian Muslims in these difficult times. We have already distributed products in Zaporizhzhia and Dnipro, but we plan to continue this campaign in other cities of Ukraine.
We will remind that before that, food kits were distributed with the support of the Council of Ukrainian Muslims in Kyiv, Lviv, Chernivtsi, Kamianske, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zakarpattia regions.
