A charity fair “Share Your Good With Others” accomplished the Children’s Summer Camp at the Kyiv Islamic Cultural Centre on June 8. The camp has been facilitated by the social organisation “An-Noor”. The kids donated for the fair the handmade things they did at master-classes during the camp. They were painting cups, salad bowls and decorative plates, creating key fobs and jewelry of polymer clay, pyrogravure…

All 50 participants of the camp donated their works for sail, and each of them was extremely happy to see someone purchase their work. Parents, relatives and friends of their families who came to the closing ceremony participated in tender eagerly, so they managed to collect about UAH 3,000 before the ceremony started. Funds raised at the fair will be donated to one of the orphanages.

A solemn ceremony started after the fair was over, where Mr. Rakan Rabbai, Head of “An-Noor”, thanked everyone for an extremely interesting camp season, and one of the visitors presented her home-made cake designed as the organisation’s logo.

The camp, launched on May 31. It hosted kids aged 6 to 12, dividing them in for crews. It was held on a daily basis (except Fridays) 11:30 AM to 6 PM. Each crew had its own title, motto, counselor and even special scarves of a certain color.

During that week, the kids forge friendship with one another and didn’t want to leave and lose the opportunity to meet on a daily basis. The parents were glad, too, as their kids, besides master-classes, attended lessons on basics and history of religion, played sports games in the open air, learned about the nature and negative consequences of pernicious habits, watched educational movies and even planted a flower bed. Besides, the “Kardash” restaurant provided children with full hot meals, and they had their juice and fruits for lunch as well.
