Love For One's Neighbours For The Sake Of God
It’s quite natural for Muslims to check their plans and intentions regarding that they’ll be responsible for everything on the Day of Judgement. This was the very topic of the first lecture: that we need to love God’s creation, namely our conversation partner, in order to attain blessings from the Creator.
However, good intention isn’t the only thing the meeting facilitators are supposed to have in order to make it interesting and cognitive. They have to find an interesting issue for discussion, so everybody can learn something really helpful in real life. At the same time, such meetings are to strengthen the participants’ faith, too.
Besides interest for one another should not only be limited to meetings and gatherings of all kinds - if you want to be able providing someone help when needed, you ought to have at least a general idea how this person is doing by checking if everything is fine.
Find Common Ground
Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, gave a wonderful example of finding a common ground with people of various ethnic, religious and cultural background. Besides, lecturer Tariq Sarhan also gave examples from the situations he experienced himself, too. It’s easy to look for differences to settle them as the basis of the controversion. Searching for similarities, in order have a mutually-interesting dialogue, however, is simple enough, too. Being honest with yourself in defining your true goals is what makes the difference.
The training also provided active interaction between the lecturers and the audience, exercises, discussions and practical tasks. It appeared that the participants were really interested in making the most of the event.
