Sheih Mohammad Nuh Al-Kudah from Jordan came with a friendly visit to the Islamic Cultural Center in Kiev on Friday, June 29, 2012. As his visit fell onto the day of congregational prayer of Muslims, the respected guest was invited to deliver the Friday sermon.
Addressing the Muslims of Kiev, he underlined that each faithful human aspiring to the promised Paradise should not seat still but proceed from words to action, from thoughts or ideas to their implementation. We must not only preserve our religious identity, but aspire to attain and strengthen high qualities encouraged by our religion. Sheih reminded that a Muslim should aspire to be as best as possible, standing out in his goodness, justice and honesty.
Also, a meeting with Jordan Sheih was held on June 30, 2012, at 7.00 p.m., in the mosque of the Islamic Cultural Center, at which the visitors could listen to the lecture and ask questions they are concerned with.
Sheih Mohammad Nuh Al-Kudah is a well-known person. A graduate of the faculty of Shariah sciences at the Jordan State University, a son of the former Chairman of the Supreme Court of the Jordan Kingdom, Sheih Mohammad Nuh Al-Kudah enjoys respect not only due to the reputation of his father, but because of his own gains that are great in number. He has defended master thesis on fikh and PhD thesis on Shariah sciences and relations, and he is the author of many scientific works on human rights, relations with non-Muslims and family law.
In his age of 43, Mohammad Nuh has already been the minister on youth affairs of the Jordan Kingdom. He is also a counselor of the government on financial matters of Sharih, imam of a largest mosque in the Kingdom, ambassador of good will at the UN, chairman of a charitable organization, author and host of many TV and radio projects. These programs by which he promotes the principle of vasatiya (moderateness) are very popular among youth, as he investigates their problems and talks with them in their language.
Sheih Mohammad is also respected by the Jordan diaspora in various countries, as he has a deep grasp of the realities of living abroad, especially in European countries. Even his spare time in his official visits as the minister on youth affairs used to be spent by him for investigating youth policies and living conditions in various countries, to extend his experience and adapt some decisions of urgent social problems faced by youth.
Being a good and close friend of the All-Ukrainian Association of Public Organizations (AAPO) “Alraid”, Sheih comes to Ukraine for the second time, for first-hand acquaintance with local realities.
