The acting constant representative of the President of
Ukraine in the
Autonomous
Republic of
Crimea, Viktor Plakida, expressed his gratitude to the chairman of the all-Ukraine Association of Social Organizations "Аlraid", Ismail Kady, for active public work and charities in the region.

The association received the award for "honest work, high professionalism, active participation in public work", is marked in the letter of thanks from October, 26th, 2010.

Moreover, the acting constant representative of the President in
Crimea noted powerful contribution of the AUASO "Alraid" "in rendering of charitable help to orphan children and needy families".

Charity

Rendering assistance to the citizens of
Ukraine irrespective of their creed and racial accessory, and also active public and cultural-educational activity are one of mainstreams of the Association work.

So, recently to the beginning of the new academic year the AUASO "Alraid" with support of the international charitable organizations carried out in
Crimea the charitable action on distribution of warm clothes, portfolios and complete sets of school accessories to children deprived of parental guardianship.

In total on the Association's maintenance there are more than 1500 orphan children, the grant is quarterly paid to their trustees.

Help to repatriates

Besides, there is an essential support to the development of national education of the Crimean Tatars. At active participation of the Association on the peninsula the project realization "The humanitarian help on strengthening of material base of schools with the Crimean-Tatar language of instruction" which is carried out together with the Islamic Bank of Development and the Association of the Crimean-Tatar educators "Maarifchi" proceeds. For the present time within the limits of the project are restored nine national Crimean-Tatar schools in different regions of the ARC.

Other charitable projects which purpose is maintenance of independence and increase of standard of living of the needy families are realized. In particular, in 2009 the Association with financial support of the Kuwaiti House of Zakat constructed 150 hothouses and organized special curriculums for the Crimean-Tatar farmers. Among other agricultural projects of the AUASO "Alraid" are building of wells and granting of a cow for each needy family.

Within the limits of cultural-educational work of the Association, under its initiative in
Crimea are traditionally carried out conferences and seminars on different vital topics in particular devoted to inter-confessional consent on the peninsula.

International recognition

This and other public work of the AUASO "Alraid" in the AR of Crimea and other 12 regions of
Ukraine already obtained international recognition.

It is necessary to note, in February of this year the Association became the laureate in the nomination "Public work" of the international project "Property".
